Wine Coasters

1512-44.jpg (37474 bytes) 1512-44. Antique George III Silver-rimmed Wine Coaster with circular turned wood base, the undulating silver sides pierced and engraved with drapery and foliate elements below a bead and thread rim; marked by William Abdy I at London in 1788/89. 1.88" high, 4.5" diameter. The mono "J•D" on later applied plaque as well as cracks and some loss of silver elements. SOLD

Edward VII Silver Pocket Flask of rectangular form with removable cup base, engraved allover with floral and foliate scroll decoration; the body and cup marked by Arthur & John Zimmerman at Birmingham in 1906/07, the outer cap marked by Thomas Jones Watson at London in 1906/07. No mono. 3.88" high, 3.06" wide, 1.38" deep, 9 troy oz. Upper left corner at shoulder has been dented and has small very small gouges there. $ 450.

No mono. Original signed typed presentation note to a Dr. Andrus. Pitcher: 1.88" high, 6.25" long, 2.5 cup capacity; Tumbler: 2.75" high, 3.25" lip diameter, 1 cup capacity; Jigger: 2.38" high, 2.75" long, 2 oz. capacity; Tray: 11.5" long, 7.5" wide.  SOLD

The applied gold art deco mono "WRP" is for Mr. & Mrs. William P. Roth of Filoli House in Woodside CA; now part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. 13.75" high (to handle), 11.75" high (to cover handle), 7" wide, 5.5" diameter, volume capacity 3 pints.
