0758-26. American Silver Stamp Box of short cylindrical form with slot for a coil of stamps (#3071); made by R. Blackinton & Co. of North Attleboro MA and retailed by Tiffany & Co. of New York NY.	1.12" high, 1.12" diameter, 0.5 troy oz. Engraved on cover "JOM" and on the base "OCTOBER 22,1960". Hinge slightly sprung.	$ 45.
1414-21. American 14K Gold Small Box of circular form, the slip-on cover with loose green plastic ring held by bolted loop ; engraved mark of Cartier of New York NY, c.1920-1950. No mono.	0.62" high, 1.12" diameter, 0.62" diameter of ring handle, 0.5 troy oz. gross.	$ 550.
1507-40. Antique Austrian Silver Dresser Box of square form, the hinged lid with applied reeded rim and inset with a green Wedgwood plaque of an allegorical(?) hunting scene; marked by Alexander Sturm at Vienna, c.1885-1910.	1.5" high, 4.75" square, 3.38" diameter plaque, 14.1 troy oz. gross. Engraved armorial device; an inscription has been erased.	$ 900.
1467-46. Antique George III Silver Small Patch Box of rectangular book form with floral motif on the slip-on cover and base, the "spine" and "pages" engraved appropriately; marked only [IT] possibly for Joseph Taylor or one of the other Birmingham small workers, c.1790-1820. No mono.	0.88" long, 0.69" wide, 0.19" thick, 0.15 troy oz.	$ 150.
1511-67. Mexican Silver Figural Covered Dish in the form of a duck, the head with inset turquoise eyes and worn gilt bill, the body chased with feathers and opening at a horizontal seam; made at the José Marmolejo workshop for Tane of Mexico City, c.1960-1980.	6.5" high, 10" long, 5.5" wide, 2.12" high at the seam, 33 troy oz. See Orfebreria Tane Mexico 1974 page 33 for other examples of a form adapted from antique terracotta.	SOLD
1492-65. Antique German Silver Dresser Box of oval form with slightly domed hinged lid, the sides engraved with foliate bands at the top and bottom rims, screwed in lock; marked by [WEIGEL.] at Kassel, c.1830-1860. Mono "E.R.G." on the cover.	2.25" high, 5.0" long, 3.75" deep, 9.0 troy oz. Recently repaired and polished with patches at lower base rim and upper hinge joint, some rough joints.	$ 275.
1417-45. Chinese Silver Sewing Kit of cylindrical form with slip top, the cover and sides chased with floral and foliate decoration, holding a five section bobbin incorporating a needle holder; the base struck with an unidentified ideogram, c.1880-1930. No mono.	4.38" high, 1.12" diameter, 2.4 troy oz. gross (including thread). There is a split to the seam where the top is attached to the cap.	$ 300.
1441-37. German Silver Box of oval form with ruffled base and cover rims, the slightly domed cover embossed with a view of a hunter and his dog pursuing a rabbit, the sides embossed with foliate scroll decoration; struck with three unidentified pseudo-hallmarks, c.1900-1935.	1.5" high, 3.5" long, 2.88" wide, 3.3 troy oz. Engraved on base "MAH 1950".	$ 150.
1444-42. Antique Hungarian Silver Box of rectangular for, the sides formed as five narrow horizontal concave moldings, the flat hinged cover constructed of scroll filigree wirework; struck with an unidentified maker's mark at Budapeste, c.1872-1900.	1.75" high, 3.62" long, 3.38" wide, 3.0 troy oz. Worn mono "LV".	$ 250.

1254-68. American Silver Presentation Cigarette Box of rectangular form with three section wood lining; made by the Schofield Co. of Baltimore MD. Engraved "LEADING TRAINER Laurel SPRING MEETING - 1954 LAUREL RACE COURSE" on the hinged cover.	8.25" long, 4.38" wide, 1.4" high, 19.5 troy oz. without wood lining.	$ 350.
1480-16. Thai Silver Presentation Cigarette / Cigar Box of rectangular form with exotic wood-lined interior, the slightly domed hinged cover engraved with a ceremonial elephant within a circular reserve inside niello foliate decoration; marked with a trademark and "THAINAKON"?, 1971.	8.62" long, 3.62" wide, 1.5" high, 16.7 troy oz. gross. An interior silver plaque is engraved "PRESENTED TO ADMIRAL THOMAS H. MOORER CHAIRMAN, JOINT CHIEF OF STAFF... 5 OCT. 71".	$ 450.

Japanese Silver Presentation Cigarette / Cigar Box of rectangular form on four short bracket feet; the hinged top opening to display the presentation; marked only "STERLING 950".	6.0" long, 3.25" wide, 1.5" high, 13.8 troy oz. 1344-16. George IV Silver Cigarette Case of rectangular form with hinged line engraved cover and back, gilt interior; marked by Adie Bros. at Birmingham in 1923/24 and retailed by T. & J. Perry at 124 Regent St. W.1. (London?). Mono "E•B".	3.12" long, 2.75" wide, 0.38" thick, 3.3 troy oz.	$ 85.
1428-17. American Silver-mounted Leather Cigarette Case, the sewn rectangular leather bag with silver collar and hinged flat lid (#2867); made by R. Blackinton & Co. of North Attleboro MA, c.1900-1930. Mono "J•F•R•Jr".	3.0" long, 2.38" wide, 1.12" thick. Made to hold cigarettes in their pack.	$ 75.
1418-02. George V Silver Cigarette Case with engine turned front and back, the interesting slide hinge negating the need for a separate opening mechanism; marked by Alfred Dunhill at Birmingham in 1921/22. Applied gold(?) mono "JP II".	4.38" long, 3.25" wide, 0.38" thick, 5.4 troy oz. The gilt interior missing the elastic band.	$ 250.

Antique Chinese Silvergilt Card Case of rectangular form with slip-on top, chased on the back with a scene from a play(?) and on the front with a repoussé dragon; marked [KW] possibly for Kwong Wa, c.1875-1915. Antique Victorian Silver Dresser Box of cylindrical form with ruffled foot and cover rims, the domed slip-on cover and body chased with grotesque and fantastical mask, floral, and scroll decoration; marked by William Comyns at London in 1896/97 and struck with the French import mark when retailed by Tiffany & Co. at their Paris shop. 	1349-46. Antique American Silver Match Safe in 'Japonisme' style of oval cross section rectangular form with split bamboo style moldings, rough surface at base for striking matches; marked by the Whiting Mfg. Co. of New York NY, c.1870-1890. Oriental style mono "FRF".	2.62" long, 1.12" wide, 0.38" thick, 0.8 troy oz. The hinged cover has split seams.	$ 85.

Antique William IV Silver Snuffbox of rectangular form with reeded sides and base, the hinged cover with applied cast foliate lip and engraved engine turned decorated border; marked by Francis Clark at Birmingham in 1835/36.	0.62" high, 2.75" long, 1.5" deep, 1.9 troy oz. Engraved "CZD to MP" on the cover.	$ 450.
1487-50. Antique French Silver Snuffbox of rectangular form, the base and slightly concave sides decorated with repetitive niello scaling, the hinged cover depicting a view of "SEBASTOPOL" with ships in the harbor, gilt interior; marked by the unidentified <AG>? at Paris and also struck with an unidentified import mark. No mono.	3.25" long, 1.5" wide, 1.0" deep, 3.8 troy oz. Some dings and loss to the niello decoration.	$ 450.
1355-15. Antique Czechoslovakian Silver Snuffbox of typical rectangular form, the sides and bottom engraved with foliate scroll decoration, the hinged cover engraved with an unidentified town view including a clock tower; marked by the unknown (JH) at Prague in 1847.	3.25" long, 2.0" wide, 0.62" thick, 2.7 troy oz. Worn surface, some dings, one corner with small hole, interior re-gilt.	$ 250.
1487-55. Antique George III Silver Small Snuffbox of curved plain oblong form, gilt interior; marked [JL] for Lawrence & Co. at Birmingham in 1813/14. No mono.	2.12" long, 1.12" wide, 0.38" thick, 0.5 troy oz. Some dings and the interior flange of the cover has a later small notch in it.	$ 175.
1382-33. Antique Austrian Silver Cigarette Case of shaped rectangular hinged form, the cover decorated with ivy surrounding an oval reserve with niello background, the back similarly decorated; marked by the the unidentified [M&S] at Vienna c.1875-1900.	3.62" long, 2.0" wide, 0.88" thick, 2.8 troy oz. Mono erased, surface wear, missing interior elastic straps.	$ 175.
1480-39. Antique Edward VII Silver Snuffbox of shaped and curved rectangular form with hinged flush cover; overstrke mark of Walker & Hall at Chester in 1901/02. Mono "SSD".	3.75" long, 2.75" wide, 0.62" thick, 3.0 troy oz.. Some dings.	$ 75.

Antique Chinese Silver Snuffbox of rectangular form with chased floral decorated convex sides, the double walled base chased with floral and butterfly decoration, the the double walled cover chased with grape and fox(?) decoration, gilt interior; marked with an unidentified ideogram, c.1860-1910. Mono "R.B."	0.5" high, 2.62" long, 1.75" deep, 2.3 troy oz. Hinge sprung.	SOLD

Sugar Boxes & Tea Caddies

	1490-43. Antique German Silver Sugar Box of oblong plain bombé form on four hollow bun feet, the slightly domed hinged cover with applied thin foliate thumb piece, lock bolted to front interior; marked on the inside base [JÜRST] together with an unidentified eagle town mark (most similar to Rosenberg #9594) possibly for Heilbronn, Aachen, Prussia, or Uberlingen, c.1840-1879. No mono.	3.0" high, 5.5" long, 4.25" deep; cover is 4.75" long, 3.5" deep; 12.0 troy oz. It is marked "NN" on the base probably when it was electroplated at a later date; presumably they did not realize it was solid silver. The base is rotated several degrees off center to the body.	$ 500.
	1430-31. Austrian Silver Sugar Casket of bulbous form on four cast floral legs, the body and cover chased with art nouveau decoration; marked at Vienna c.1890-1915 No mono.	5.25" high, 5.5" long, 4.5" wide, 15.1 troy oz. Some dings to body.	$ 750.

1288-15. Antique George III Silver Vinaigrette of pillow form, the hinged cover and base with engraved floral decoration, the gilt interior with hinged and pierced sponge grill, marked by John Bettridge at Birmingham in 1819/20. Engraved "J.G.W. to S.G."	0.38" high, 1.25" long, 0.88" deep, 0.4 troy oz. Some dings and surface wear.	$ 250.
1288-13. Antique George III Silver Vinaigrette of pillow form, the hinged cover and base with engraved floral decoration, the gilt interior with hinged and pierced sponge grill, marked by John Bettridge at Birmingham in 1819/20. No mono.	0.38" high, 1.0" long, 0.75" deep, 0.3 troy oz. Some dings and surface wear. Contains an old sponge which all vinaigrettes originally had.	$ 250.
1288-12. Antique William IV Silver Vinaigrette of of small oblong form with shaped and foliate engraved hinged cover and base, the gilt interior with hinged, pierced and floral engraved sponge grill, applied jump ring; marked by Francis Clark at Birmingham in 1834/35. No mono.	0.25" high, 1.0" long, 0.75" deep, 0.25 troy oz.	$ 300.
1336-27. Antique George III Silver Vinaigrette of box form, the hinged cover engraved with pricked and line engraving, the grill has been removed from the gilt interior; marked by Matthew Linwood at Birmingham in 1809/10.	0.38" high, 1.12" long, 0.88" wide, 0.4 troy oz. The sponge grill and interior hinge have been removed to create a pill box.	SOLD

Antique George IV Silver Vinaigrette of cut-cornered curved rectangular form, the hinged cover and base engraved with basket weave decoration, the gilt interior with nicely pierced and engraved floral hinged sponge grill; marked by Robert Mitchell at Birmingham in 1820/21. No mono.	0.38" high, 1.0" long, 0.75" wide, 0.25 troy oz.	$ 350.
1288-11. Antique George III Silver Vinaigrette of cut-cornered curved rectangular form, the base and hinged cover engraved with a foliate border, the gilt interior with a hinged pierced grill; marked by Samuel Pemberton at Birmingham in 1818/19.	0.5" high, 1.75" long, 1.25" deep, x troy oz. Mono probably erased. Sold solder repair to outside hinge, later interior gilding.	$ 425.
