Antique American Silver Salt Cellar of oval form on a milled floral decorated foot band, the sides with engine-turned decoration inside oval reserves between blank shield reserves at the ends, applied milled "twist" lip rim; struck with the horse's head and leopard's head manufacturer's trademarks of Baldwin & Co. of Newark NJ, c.1850-1870. No mono. 1.5" high, 3" long, 2.25" wide, 2.0 troy oz. Some corrosion at solder joints in gilt interior; the engine-turned decoration in one reserve damaged by "wire brush"(!?!) use. $ 55.

Antique American Gold Spectacles of typical form with oblong clear lenses and "C" bridge, the hinged narrow loop-to-loop slider temples ending in teardrop ribbon loops; marked by Demelman, an optician who traveled to various county seats within Maryland c.1830-1850.. 0.88" high, 4.5" wide, temple arms 4.25"  long (6.0" extended). Repaired at mark. Now contained in a old worn  slim pasteboard case labeled by Samuel I. Rodberg of Baltimore MD, c.1860-1880. $ 280.

Antique American Silver Vase of large cup form with tapering cylindrical sides ending in a slight bulge above the spreading circular foot, the body and foot chased allover with one butterfly amongst floral and foliate repoussé decoration; made by Samuel Kirk & Son of Baltimore MD, c.1855-1861. Foliate scroll mono "MMC". 7.62" high, 4.12" lip diameter, 4.25" foot diameter, 13.7 troy oz. $ 1,400.

Pair Antique American Silver Waiters of circular form on three cast ball & claw feet, the rim chased with foliate repoussé decoration, the surface engraved with bright cut diamond diaper work; made by Samuel Kirk & Son of Baltimore MD, c.1870. Mono "FFF" within hexafoil reserve. 0.88" high, 7.0" diameter, 16.8 troy oz. total. This could date just prior to the Civil War rather than just after it. $ 1,200.

Chalice engraved "IHS" and the flagon with a cross and presentation "Rev. A. J. Rich. M.D. Dean From The Baltimore Convocation Nov. 29th 1881." Flagon 3.0" high, 2.5" long, 1.62" foot diameter; Chalice 2.88" high, 1.75" lip diameter, 1.5" foot diameter; 2.6 troy oz. total. Flagon dinged. The Rev. Dr. Arthur John Rich was rector of All Saints' Protestant Episcopal Church in Reisterstown MD. $ 280.

Pair Antique American Silver Salt Cellars of rectangular form on stamped paw feet, the sides stamped with a view of a large country house, heavy glass liners; unmarked but possibly made by Leonard & Wilson of Philadelphia PA, c.1850. No mono. 1.88" long, 3.75" long, 3.0" wide, 2.2 troy oz. total (without glass). The ends are a trimmed down section of the side views made from the same dies. $ 800.

The Pitcher of barrel form with cast pineapple finial on the domed cover, hollow c-scroll handle, and engraved "JAA" within a wreath on each side; the 6 Tumblers of tapering cylindrical raised form, engraved "JA" within a wreath; marked [PITMAN] on the pitcher ring foot and [Pitman] on the tumbler bases for Saunders Pitman of Providence RI. Pitcher: 12.0" high, 8.5" long, 6.0" wide, 4.5" foot diameter, 28.6 troy oz., 5.5 pint capacity; Tumblers: 3.62" high, 3.25" lip diameter, 2.5" base diameter, 4.2 troy oz. each, 1.25 cup capacity. Finial restored. These pieces are noted on an original account invoices as being ordered in 1804 by James Arnold. $ 25,000.

Antique American Silver Small Pitcher of classical globular form on stepped circular foot, chased foliate band below the incurved neck, applied narrow floral milled bands at the foot and lip rims, hollow s-scroll handle; marked by Andrew E. Warner Sr. and struck with the Baltimore City assay marks used by Thomas Warner in 1822. 8.12" high, 7.25" long, 4.5" wide, 3.62" foot diameter, 1.75 pints, 15.6 troy oz. Engraved with a rearing horse labeled "Silverheels"; probably commemorating either a horse race or fair competition. Carefully restored recently. $ 4,500.

Antique American Silver Large Covered Sugar Urn, the foot and cover chased with floral repoussé decoration between fluting, the body chased with fantastic landscape and floral repoussé decoration, two cast and chased foliate applied loop handles, cast and bolted foliate and bud finial; marked by Andrew E. Warner of Baltimore MD. Engraved "Kernan" in script. 10.5" high overall, 8.12" high at lip, 7.5" long, 6.25" lip diameter, 4.38" foot diameter, 32.2 troy oz. This piece is presumably the "Sugar Bowl"  ordered by P. Kernan on 30 March 1848 noted at 33 troy oz. 13 dwts and costing $75.70. (Warner Order Book p.116). SOLD
