Antique George III Silver-mounted Wood Cruet of typical form on turned foot, the revolving turntable holding five cut glass bottles with silver caps, the turned column ending in a hinged scroll handle; struck twice on the handle only with the mark of Jane Dorrell & Richard May, working in London 1766-1771. No mono. Frame: 11.0" high, 8.0" wide, 5.0" foot diameter; Bottles: 5.5"-6.5" high, 2.12"-2.38" diameter. The wood frame has been restored, one silver cap is cracked. An unusual and rare survival. $ 950.

Heise at Copenhagen in 1925, the "Dansk Arbejde" mark for the Danish Artist Association and the retailer jeweler's mark of Matthiasen. 7.0" high, 3.0" wide, 2.12" foot diameter, 5.2 troy oz. No mono. 1.5" high, 3" long, 2.25" wide, 2.0 troy oz. Some corrosion at solder joints in gilt interior; the engine-turned decoration in one reserve damaged by "wire brush"(!?!) use. $ 55.

Pair American Silver-rimmed Glass Salt Cellars, the shallow circular glass dish cut with diamond decoration on the sides and star decoration on the base, fitted with an octofoil silver rim with embossed beaded edge (#S1782); made by the Gorham Mfg. Co. of Providence RI, c.1885-1895. No mono. 0.62" high, 3.5" diameter. One with silver rim split. An example of this rare form is illustrated with a photograph from the Gorham archives on page 82 of the Handbook of Gorham Salt Dishes by George & Carolyn Tompkins (Rockport ME: Archimedes Press, 1987). $ 200.
